I Got Love if You Want It.pdf
For ADVANCED BEGINNERS and INTERMEDIATE players. A PDF tab for the harmonica intro from Slim Harpo's Louisiana swamp-blues, "I Got Love If You Want It." Transcribed and adapted by Adam Gussow of Satan and Adam.
Slim Harpo often falls through the cracks when players talk about important blues harmonica players of the postwar era, but he had a distinctive approach that has influenced many contemporary players, including Kim Wilson, James Harman, and guitarist Kenny Neal.
Technical challenges are modest and include 2 and 3 draw bends, tongue blocking (optional), and some tricky timing.
Harp key: B-flat, as per Slim Harpo's original recording, but you can play it on other keys.
Note: a video tutorial for this lesson is also available.
